Out of an abundance of caution, the Town of Indian Trail is closing all facilities on Saturday, Jan. 31, and Sunday, Feb. 1, due to predicted inclement weather. The US National Weather Service Office out of Greenville-Spartanburg, SC, is predicting:
- Upwards of 8" of snow beginning late Friday night through Saturday night.
- The potential for freezing cold temperatures, including dangerously cold windchills, through Monday afternoon.
The Town's Public Works Department will pretreat key areas of concern, including high-traffic intersections and bridge and culvert crossings. Additionally, the Town will remain in constant communication with Union County Emergency Management and the Union County Sheriff’s Office throughout the weekend, and crews will be on-call if needed.
